Simple and traditional. the best and easiest brownies you’ll ever make!!
This is recipe is classic, one of my favorites for sure. I do love this recipe because is very easy and tasty. When I used to work as a pastry chef or when I tell people that I am a baker, people usually ask me what is my favorite thing to bake, and honestly, those brownies are. I love how I can just change the flavor using a chocolate bar with an incorporated flavor or other candies (reeses, m&ms, white chocolate chips, etc)
For this recipe, I used sea salt dark chocolate, and I don’t know to put in words how delicious it came out. Not all the brownies recipes are easy or so simple like this one… this recipe makes a small batch though, but it can be easily doubled.
MELTED CHOCOLATE: The use of chocolate is extremely necessary, without chocolate or your brownie will not get the classic crumbly/chewy texture and will turn into a cake
PAN: I used a small pan, so my brownies were not so thin.
WALNUTS: The chopped walnuts are optional, you can replace for another ingredient as mentioned before.
Ingredients 2 eggs 1 cup white sugar 2 tablespoons of butter (melted) ½ cup all-purpose flour 100g dark chocolate (melted) ½ cup of cocoa powder 1 teaspoon vanilla extract chopped walnuts (optional) pinch of salt Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a small square pan parchment paper, leaving a couple inches of overhang on two sides (this will allow you to lift the whole tray of brownies out of the pan for easy removal). Grease the parchment with butter or spray pan.
2. In a large bowl combine the eggs, sugars, and butter. Whisk until combined. Add the dry ingredients – flour, cocoa powder, and mix well. Add the melted chocolate and vanilla extract, and stir with a rubber spatula until combined (it will be fairly thick).
3. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for 30 minutes (begin checking at 25 minutes). The brownies are done when a toothpick inserted into the center comes out without raw batter on it (there may be some fudgy crumbs on the toothpick – that’s OK). Be careful not to over bake. Remove from the oven and place on a cooling rack.
I hope you enjoy this delicious recipe. I love the smell of these warm brownies around the house, and of course, the taste too!!
HAPPY BAKING!! 💖
